The LeBaron family has a long history of practicing polygamy, which started with Alma Dayer LeBaron Sr. moving to Mexico and starting a farm called Colonia LeBaron. The community allowed sexual abuse of women and young girls. When Alma passed away, his son, Joel, became the community leader in 1951. However, in 1972, Joel and his younger brother, Ervil, had a fall out when the latter started the Church of the First Born of the Lamb of God. He rose to power and became a powerful figure. As a result, he did everything in his power to keep his influence intact.

According to reports, Ervil ordered the murders of his competitors and also followed the religious principle called Blood Atonement. Apart from allegedly killing his competitors, it is widely reported that he also ordered the murders of his own family members. By the late 1970s, authorities linked Ervil LeBaron to 30 murders. Despite the accusations, he continued practicing polygamy.

In June 1979, authorities arrested Ervil for his crimes and extradited him to the US. The court convicted the cult leader for killing another mormon and sentenced him to life imprisonment at a prison in Utah.

Reportedly, Gypsy’s mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, had been taking care of her wheelchair-bound daughter until 2015. However, officials discovered the lifeless body of Dee Dee Blanchard in her house outside Springfield, Missouri on June 14, 2015, and Gypsy was nowhere to be found.

Upon further investigation, officials learned that the daughter and her boyfriend were involved in her mother’s murder. She and her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, had reportedly devised the plan to kill Dee Dee and escape.

Following her arrest and revelations of the abuse she suffered for years, prosecutors offered her a plea deal. Gypsy pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, receiving a 10-year prison sentence in 2016, according to CBS News. She served 85% of the term and was granted early release. She walked out of prison on December 28, 2023.

The lawsuit against Cartisano and the Challenger Foundation stated, “Kristen Chase was not an athletic child. She had lived essentially at sea level with her mother for years. Her medical history, forwarded to Challenger by her mother, indicated…that Kristen suffered from bouts of coughing up blood, stomach pain, urinary burning and frequency, difficulty running, menstrual difficulty, and a knee injury.”

Chase participated in the camp’s strenuous activities at the 6,000-foot elevation in extreme heat against her will. The suit mentioned that at the time, Chase was upset, frightened, and ill. However, she forcibly participated in “four-to five-mile hikes each day in temperatures exceeding 95 degrees.” Desert News reported that the day before she died, the teen fell several times on one of the hikes. She even experienced knee pain and showed symptoms of heat exhaustion.

The Challenger officials forced the 16-year-old to participate in another five-mile hike on June 26, 1990. She showed symptoms of heat exhaustion by late afternoon, with her condition worsening rapidly. Medical assistance reached Chase that evening around 6:15 pm when “she had already died of exertional heat stroke.”

Radio Times said Cartisano denied negligence in Chase’s death. He claimed that the girl had yet to enter the “impact” portion of the program. According to the camp’s brochures, the participants would take part in “five days and nights of physical and mental stress with a forced march, night hikes, and limited food and water.”

The outlet reported that a witness cited other such instances in the Hell Camp: Teen Nightmare trailer. The camp would put teenagers in grave conditions, leaving them emaciated. “They were dirty [and] you couldn’t even tell that they were kids.” A second witness claimed, “The doctor had counted over 80 scars, marks, and contusions.”

The disgraced former congressman George Santos is receiving a documentary that will showcase his life, career, and controversies. The brain behind this project is the popular documentarian, Jenner Furst. He is best known for the documentary Kalief Browder, the story of a young Bronx man whose suicide exposed the New York criminal justice system. Kalief Browder even won a Peabody Award.

George Santos’ career as a US congressman ended on December 1, 2023. The reason for his expulsion was due to criminal corruption charges. Furthermore, there were also accusations of mispending campaign money. Santos is the sixth-ever member to be expelled from his position. Out of the other five, three sided with the Confederacy during the Civil War. However, the rest were involved in crimes.

George Santos recently sat down with CBS and had a conversation with The Point host, Marcia Kramer. In the interview, he revealed that he was making a lot of money from the website Cameo.

He said, “I can tell you that by the end of this week—that is actually factual—I will have made more money in seven days than I would have made [in] an entire year in Congress.”

The congressional salary is $174,000 a year. Hence, Kramer asked him to confirm if he would earn that amount in a week. Santos’s reply was affirmative. He said, “Yes, ma’am,”

The former congressman further revealed that the idea to join Cameo was given to him by a former staffer for Rep. Kevin McCarthy. Santos said, “He reached out and says, ‘George, you have such a large personality, people love you,You should just open a Cameo. I’m like, what’s a Cameo? So I looked into it”

According to The Daily Beast, he further revealed that he was not ashamed of the incidents that transpired in his life. He said, “I feel like everything I stood for—I’m so proud of the legacy I leave behind, even with the short 11-month term that I served,” he said. “I feel like every vote I took I can stand by and I can defend, and I’m proud of that. But regrets, plenty. Like, there’s always regrets, right.”

George Santos was born on July 22, 1988. His parents are Fátima Aziza Caruso Horta Devolder and Gercino Antônio dos Santos Jr. He even has a younger sister named Tiffany. Even though he is openly gay, he was married to a woman from 2012 to 2019.

Fred and Rosemary West are an English serial killer duo who are known to have committed at least 12 murders in two decades between 1967 and 1987. All of the victims were young women, of which Fred was found to have murdered at least two on his own and the rest with his wife, Rose West. Rose married Fred when she was 18 after having an affair with him since she was 15. They lived in Gloucestershire in South West England.

In 1967, Anne McFall, the Wests’ first victim, was found dead in a field nearby. McFall was a nanny to Fred’s stepdaughter and a daughter from his previous marriage. Nearby to those remains, the body of Catherine Costello, a 26-year-old woman was also found. Rose West is known to have killed Costello’s 8-year-old daughter by herself while Fred was away in prison for tyre theft and vehicle tax disc in 1972. The child’s body was found at their previous home in 1994.

19-year-old Lynda Gough, Carol Ann Cooper, 15, Lucy Partington, 21, Therese Sigenthaler, 21, Shirley Hubbard, 15, Juanita Mott, 18, Shirley Robinson, 18, and Alison Chambers, 17, are among their other identified victims. The remains of each of these victims were found in the perpetrators’ home in the city. Fred and Rose West’s daughter, Heather, 16, was also found dead. While there weren’t any records of a missing report, the couple claimed that they filed a complaint when Heather went missing.

Fred and Rosemary West allegedly tortured, assaulted, and killed victims for sexual gratification. The victims were found to be exploited, and sexual violence was perpetrated on them. What investigators found at the Wests’ home was so horrifying that their home came to be called House of Horrors soon after.

Where are Fred and Rosemary West now?

It was their daughter Heather’s disappearance that triggered suspicions among the neighbors and school children in the area. There was a joke going around about Heather’s disappearance and how Fred and Rosemary West barely reacted to it. When authorities were made aware of this rumor that was going around, a formal investigation was initiated.

Fred West admitted to murdering his daughter, which triggered a search of the house of horrors. He was charged with 12 murders, and Rose West was charged with 10 murders. Fred West died by suicide in the remand cell even before his trial concluded. He was 53 when he died.

Rose’s trial also established that she had displayed behavior of sexual and physical misconduct based on circumstantial evidence. However, Rose denied all the charges and claimed that she was innocent. Rose West was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole. She is currently serving time in the HM Prison New Hall. She continues to claim her innocence and is now 70 years old.

According to the New York Post, Nicola’s billionaire father, Nelson Peltz, filed a lawsuit against Plan Design Events (PDE) in December 2022. Nelson is suing the wedding planners for a $159,000 deposit he made before firing wedding planners Nicole Braghin and Arianna Grijalba in nine days. He is also demanding a return of the same amount.
